Formerly The Institute for the Research of Organized & Ritual Violence, founded in 2001, Symbol Intel specializes in the research, analysis and investigation of symbolic and ritualistic crime. Specific areas of study include; religious violence, unfamiliar cultural traditions, ritualistic crimes, desecration controversies and the systemization of symbols, emblems and rituals. What distinguishes Symbol Intel from other agencies is our concentrated study of images and the application of symbolic methodologies for use in law enforcement. We can assist you in identifying emblems, tattoos, colors, graffiti, clothing, ritual objects, etc of hundreds of gang and terrorist organizations. We produce specialized charts, intelligence reports, and group bulletins from our unique perspective.

Symbol Intel Services

Symbol Intel, LLC formerly ‘The Institute for the Research of Organized & Ritual Violence’ was founded in 2001 to advance knowledge, information, methodologies and understanding, of all manifestations of symbolic and ritual violence. The principal purpose of Symbol Intel is to provide law enforcement investigators, defense and intelligence agencies, forensic scientists and criminal justice professionals with specialized information to assist in the investigation and analysis of unfamiliar areas of violent crime. Another primary objective is to apply and develop interpretive research methodologies to various expressions of symbolic evidence and religious violence. An additional significant goal of the Institute is to collect, systematize and evaluate symbols, emblems, insignia, sacred objects, rituals, ideologies, etc. of hundreds of organizations, gangs and sub-cultural groups.
